Get the Look: Turquoise Temptation

Turquoise always makes me think of the ocean, and with warmer weather (hopefully) on the horizon, it's not surprising that turquoise was named as Pantone's 2010 color of the year. This tropical color was also spotted in on the spring 2010 runway in designers Nanette Lepore, Tibi, and Rachel Roy's shows (photo credit).

Looking to inject a little spring into your wardrobe with this color? Here are some of my affordable turquoise picks, all $150 or less.

Banana Republic Washed Silk Military shirt - $79.50
Get two trends in this top with the turquoise color and military inspired style.

BDG Striped Sheer V-Neck Tee - $16
I'm a sucker for stripes, as well as a great vneck tee. This price is definitely right on this version from Urban Outfitters!

Old Navy Origami Flutter Sleeve Top - $19 (on sale)
Love the fluttery sleeves on this lightweight girlie top, pair it with some boyfriend jeans or baggy skinny jeans like these J Brands (still looking for a budget friendly option) and sandals this spring/summer.

Eliza J Sheath Dress - $138
This is one of the more expensive items, but this ladylike dress is something I could picture the adorable Jayma Mays wearing as Emma Pillsbury on Glee.

Delias Eva Chiffon Dress - $29.99 (on sale)
Who doesn't love an easy breezy sundress for summer?

Old Navy Canvas Zip Pocket Duffle - $20 (on sale)
This bag by Old Navy reminds me of an Alexander Wang version and will give your outfit just a pop of turquoise.

Express Beaded Leather Bracelet - $10
Inspired by CC Skye, this Express version is a great budget friendly alternative.

BP Frankie Flat - $59.95
You all know how I love a flat, and the gorgeous rich turquoise color would be the perfect finishing touch to any neutral outfit.

Here are some more of my turquoise picks!

I adore this color and especially the chiffon dress! If you can't get to the pool, bring the pool to your clothes :)
