Style Me Saturday - Casual Chic Stripes

I've gotten a lot of emails about Style Me Saturday lately (thanks to everyone, keep them coming!) and so I thought I'd post two today. A reader recently bought this striped button down from Target and asked the following question:

I bought this shirt the other day and I was wondering how you'd style it in a casual chic look. I'd prefer no boots since spring is on its way.

I came up with two options for this shirt, the first would work for right now and the second for when the temps warm up a bit more. This first look is inspired by an outfit that Elisabeth Hasselbeck wore on the View earlier this week. I believe she paired hers with boots, but I liked how she paired a masculine shirt with a sparkly necklace. I also chose some embellished shoes to add another touch of femininity.

This second look for warm weather is inspired by this outfit Blake Lively wore to an event. Since the reader wanted a casual look, I replaced the skirt with some crisp white shorts, and added some nude colored sandals to elongate the leg.
