Closet Essentials: Fab Flats

I haven't done one of these in a LONG time, but you can see the other installments in this series HERE. After seeing in the giveaway post that several people want to see more flats featured, I thought it would be appropriate to do a Closet Essentials post on my #1 pick for daily footwear. As you may have noticed from previous What I'm Wearing posts (I promise I will try and do more of these again very soon)- I pretty much wear flats every day. I rarely wear heels unless it's a special event or occasion, and I never wear them to work (with the exception of the occasional low heeled boot). My job doesn't require me to dress up, so why should my feet suffer? :)

As I've mentioned before on the blog, my favorite flats are my Tory Burch Revas which I own in black, and recently purchased in a tan snakeskin. Yes, these flats are pricey, but I subscribe to the "cost per wear" idea and I've definitely gotten my money's worth (and more) with these flats. I recently wore the black ones to photograph a wedding and after 8+ hours on my feet, I had no blisters and no pain. As I said, I love these flats.

I realize that the TB flats aren't in eveyone's budget, and I have plenty of inexpensive flats in my closet as well, so here are some of my other picks (all under $150):

I don't own any lace flats but when I saw these in a recent advertisement, I fell in love. Click HERE for a less expensive option from Charlotte Russe (also seen in the widget at the bottom of the post).

I have a pair of simliar leopard flats that I bought at Target three or four years ago. I love them and these Old Navy flats are a great alternative.

Need some basic black flats? I love this simple pair from Gap, and the price is right too. They come in a bunch of colors if you want to branch out a little.

If you like the snakeskin TB flats above but aren't convinced they're worth it (or maybe they aren't in your budget at the moment), try this slightly less expensive pair from Steve Madden.

I love these studded flats from Target after seeing them on Chloe, and they remind me of a simple, flat version of the studded Valentino heels she just bought.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but maybe I'm not the only one. I've found that when photographing families in the chilly fall weather or just running errands on the weekend, there's nothing better than a cozy pair of moccasins. I have a similar pair to these Xhilaration mocs from Target that I've been wearing to death lately. Throw on a sweater or a long sleeve tee and a cute scarf along with some jeans and you've got yourself a cozy weekend ensemble.

Can't get enough flats? Check out some more of my picks in the widget below...

Perfect timing and great post! I've been looking for new flats.

I would love to see a post about low heeled boots. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia and a bad back. I'm always looking for cute shoes that are age appropriate (I'm 26) not made for 60 year olds. I like boots because I live in the Northeast and my feet get cold in the winter in ballet flats!

Don't be embarrassed of wearing moccasins! I have that exact pair, and I wear 'em all the time!! I think they're quite cute actually. I bought them b/c I saw another girl wearing them and I knew I had to have a pair
