Closet Essentials: Jewelry

Many people mentioned in the giveaway post a few weeks ago that they'd like to see more accessories. Again, I cannot always control what looks 4 less I find, but I can certainly try and feature more accessories in other ways. So, today's closet essentials post will revolve around jewelry.

Admittedly, I don't wear a lot of jewelry, as I'm sure you've noticed in my What I'm Wearing posts. I wear the same bezel set diamond stud earrings (a gift from my husband) almost every single day, and the other constants are my engagement and wedding rings. However, I've been trying to branch out a bit lately and add some more accessories to my drawer. Jewelry is great because you can spend a lot or a little and items tend to be pretty versatile, going with everything from casual to evening looks depending on the piece.

Here are some of the items that I have purchased (or have been given to me as gifts by friends/family) over the years and have proven to be a versatile part of my wardrobe.

Similar to a much pricer Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, I wear this version from the Etsy seller NYLightMetals often.

Suzanne Elizabeth Turquoise Teardrop Necklace
I bought this necklace after seeing it on Ali (The Bachelorette) and I wear it constantly. I truly adore this necklace.

Michael Kors Jet Set watch
Yes this watch is huge, but I love it despite the fact that both my mom and brother asked me if it was my husband's watch. I think it will be a classic for many years. (Click HERE or HERE for less expensive alternatives)

Chan Luu wrap bracelet
Yes, these are pricey (honestly I got mine with credits from Gilt), but you can find a ton of affordable alternatives online - click here for a great option.

Diamond Stud earrings
The setting on these are similar to the ones my husband had made for me by a local jeweler, but before I had the real thing I just wore faux diamond studs. The great thing is that they are inexpensive, you can get them in tons of different sizes, and they are a classic item that looks fab with any outfit. Click HERE for a very inexpensive alternative.

As I mentioned, I've been trying to branch out a bit lately and here are some jewelry items I've been loving, all under $25 (click on any image for more information). There are two pages on the widget, so be sure and scroll thru!

Also check out Etsy for tons of great sellers that have beautiful jewelry for fantastic prices. Click HERE to view posts on this blog that feature Etsy designers.
