Style Poll: Bachelorette Party

My sister's bachelorette party is coming up on December 11th, and despite my giving style advice to others, I've had a hard time getting inspired enough to come up with an outfit for myself. We plan on going out to dinner and then to a piano bar, but being that this is Iowa and it's also December - that typically means snow and cold temps.

Here are two outfits I came up with, and I would be grateful for a vote in the poll (on the right side of the blog) for either outfit. If you don't like either one - I present a challenge! Come up with an outfit and comment below with a link to your polyvore or ShopStyle set. I'd love to see what you guys come up with if you don't like either one of my options. If you decide to come up with an outfit of your own here are some things you'll need to know about me...

1. I am 30, so I need something age appropriate.

2. I don't want to take away from the bride (my sister) - it's her party after all.

3. I like the style of Lauren Conrad, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and occasionally Rachel Bilson and Olivia Palermo.

#1! It's so much more festive without being over-the-top. #2 is a great outfit, but not deserving of such a special occasion!

I love the first look, but I would do a slightly more special top. It just feels like the basic black top feels way overshadowed by the skirt, so I might choose one with a little detail.

I love both outfits but #1 definitely more celebration appropriate without drawing too much attention to yourself. :-)

Love outfit #1! Outfit #2 is just a little too casual for a bachelorette in my opinion..the first outfit is not too dressy and really fun! :)

Outfit #1 for sure!

I know it might be a little late for this but for my sister's bachelorette and most of our friends' bachelorettes, the bride wore all white (she could do winter white) and the friends wore all black. It really made the bride pop and everyone at the bars and restaurants we went to knew that we were with the bachelorette party because we were in all black. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the great feedback ladies!!

Cathy - One of my sisters actually suggested that, but the bride (also one of my sisters) said she'd rather wear all black than wear white, so that we should wear whatever we want. Thanks for the idea though!

I like both outfits but I would wear outfit #2. I really love the boots but the link is not working. Are they still available?

Meghan,

Sorry, I forgot to post that those boots are sold out. They're the ones I actually own but I purchased them last year on sale. Sorry about that!

No problem! They are adorable boots! Thanks for getting back to me.
