Inspired by...Halston Heritage - *Updated 6/1/10*

I'm sure you've all seen this photo of Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of the second Sex and the City movie. Her dress is by Halston Heritage and it retails for $325 at Singer 22. A reader recently wrote in and asked if I could find a similar dress for less and I wanted to share my find with you guys!
Splendid's modal jersey bell sleeve dress isn't an exact match but it is a great inspired by dress that will give you a start on giving you Carrie's casual look. It will also save you about $206 of your hard earned cash (always a bonus) as it retails for $119. Click on the photo below to purchase.
*Update - 5/6/10* - My friend Pam actually found this great alternative a couple weeks ago but it went out of stock on the XOXO website in white. Beautiful Things just posted that it's available (and on sale) at Macy's. It is on sale for $39.99 and also comes in black. Click here to purchase.

Diane von Furstenberg's Erosa Dress originally retailed for $398, now marked down to $278.60 on DVF.com. Rachel Bilson wore this dress during fashion week last year. (Photo credit)
