Movie Inspiration: Skyfall [Reader Request]

A reader sent in this photo (sorry, I couldn't find a larger one) and asked if I could recreate this outfit from Skyfall. She mentioned that the woman wore short booties with this outfit, so I did the best I could based on the image below.

Click on any of the images, if the skirt link isn't working try and click HERE as it is still available.

Movie Inspiration: Midnight in Paris

Last night I watched Midnight in Paris, and although I was enamored with the Paris scenery (and need to plan a trip ASAP!), I also fawned over Rachel McAdams' effortless and chic ensembles. (Photos are all from Google Search)

Here are some great pieces that will help you get some looks similar to the ones Rachel is wearing above, click on any image for more information with the exception of the bag, click HERE.

Inspired by...Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan

I love this comfy and cute look that Kristen Stewart wears as Bella Swan in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Her henley is from American Eagle but is currently sold out, and her pants are THESE Splendid pants that they cut off for the movie (use code BESTGIFT for 30% off thru tomorrow).

If you love her outfit as well, I put together a loosely inspired by option for you using shorts from Revolve Clothing (try code TULIP for 10% off) and a top from J Crew. Click on any of the images below to purchase (she's wearing a swimsuit top under hers, which I did not include). You can click HERE for a similar but darker pair of pants which could be cut off if you prefer, or HERE for a darker grey but less expensive pair of shorts.

Movie Inspiration: Water for Elephants

This past weekend I saw the film Water for Elephants and not only was it a great movie, I loved looking at all of the 1930's outfits that Reese Witherspoon's character wore throughout the film. I decided that I would do my take on some of the outfits shown in the movie, keeping a retro feel but adding a modern touch.

Here are three outfits inspired by the photos above, you can click on any image for more information!

This scarf is a little pricey, but it is very similar. If you're looking to spend less, I found this option on Etsy.

If you'd like to add a beret like Reese is wearing, you can click here. Otherwise, for a more modern take, a fedora might be a cute option (personally I think I prefer it without a hat).

I love the back of this dress, it definitely reminds me of the long dress Reese wore in the last photo above.

Did you see Water for Elephants? Have you read the book? What were your thoughts on the movie/book?
