Movie Inspiration: The Great Gatsby

I read online yesterday that the home said to be the inspiration for the home of Daisy Buchanan in F. Scott Fitzgerald's book "The Great Gatsby" is going to be demolished. The book and movie are set in the 1920's, and the movie fashion is typical of that era. The character of Daisy (played by Mia Farrow) tends to dress in relaxed, floaty, romantic clothing. She wears mostly white or neutral colors, which would be great for this coming spring. (Photo credit)

So, in honor of the movie The Great Gatsby, I've put together a few items that are reminiscent of the movie's style. You can use any of these pieces to incorporate a little bit of 1920's effortless glamour into your modern day wardrobe. Click on any of the images below for more information.

My memory of this movie is watching it in a high school lit class. Have you seen this movie? What are your thoughts on 1920's fashion?

The Great Gatsby is my favorite novel of all time. I too remember watching it in my high school lit class, and I wrote a paper on it that won me an award ;)
I'm actually sad they're making another movie, because from what I've read, they're going to destroy it.
I love your Gatsby looks though - so fun J!
