3 Wishes: Gigi's Gone Shopping

Gigi from Gigi's Gone Shopping is another one of my favorite bloggers, and her site is incredibly helpful when I'm wondering how a specific J Crew item fits (she also does Anthro, Ann Taylor Loft, and more!!). Also, Gigi just announced that's she's expecting - CONGRATS!! - and has a new blog called Gigi's Gone Parental. Definitely check them out, but first check out her three wish list items for summer.

Jen, you made it really hard to narrow it down to 3 things, but focus is good right? I've done a few cursory passes through my clothing stock in recent weeks. I know I have my fill of nude shoes, floral/floaty tops and jeans. However, in my search I saw space for a couple of things that could come in handy.

Sperry TopSider in platinum gold. Ok...CHECK! I bought these about a month ago and love them. I wear 7.5 and sometimes 8. I tried both sizes and 7.5 were perfect, so these are TTS. I had the classic dark brown TopSiders in junior or high school and wore them till the soles got holes. The metallic gold is a beautiful update.

AT - Sheer Luxe Scarf - I have purchased and returned a couple of floral scarves. Lavender has also made its way in and out of the closet. I finally realized I need a deep rich color in the purple family. I believe in this color as year round, working it in with summer white and gold or silver accessories.

Effe by Hobo - I recently purchased shoes in this color and they are hawt! I probably wouldn't carry this clutch to match the shoes, but the aqua really floats my boat and I have no handbags or clutches in said color.

Thanks, Jen for inviting me to play. I love your finds and always enjoy visiting your blog! I would love to share or remind everyone of the 5 Minutes you graced my blog with in this post.

3 Wishes: Love, Lipstick, and Pearls

Miss K from Love, Lipstick, and Pearls is absolutely adorable, and I just love her weekly "Hot Man Parade" posts, as well as her celebrity inspiration posts. She also recently posted some of her outfits that were inspired by different trends/celebrities she's featured on her blog. Check out her three wishes for summer 2010 (I'm loving all of her summery picks!) and then head over and check out her blog!

1. Trouve "Trina" Sandal

I'm dying for these wedges! I think they're just adorable, sexy, and has a bit of an edge. I think they'd be great with so many outfits- jeans, dresses, and even with tights in the winter time.

2. Lucilla Shoulder/Cross Body/Clutch by Kipling

I saw this bag on Malin Akerman and have been drooling over it ever since. I've tried to find a "look 4 less" on it, but have come up shorthanded. Maybe Jen can help me :) hint hint nudge nudge. I'm loving it in Sweet Pink, but like all the colors. All I can do now is imagine all the different ways I can wear it and how I can use the purse as a fun pop of color to up the ante of my outfit.

3. Tibi Fantasy Print Dress

This dress is perfect for day and night with just a few changes in accessories. I love the cut and the fun colors. Even though the dress is printed and I usually wear solids because I feel that they're more functional I think this dress is pretty versatile.

3 Wishes: The Possessionista

The Possessionista is another one of my favorite blogs, and it should be YOUR go to blog for Glee and Bachelorette/Bachelor fashion finds (among other things). With Ali as the new Bachelorette, I'm sure there will be several items she wears that will pop up on everyone's wish list. As for what's on Dana's wish list this summer, check out her picks...

1. These hair ties. I'm obsessed. I literally am in a pony all summer long.

2. A big summer bag. I desperately want the Linea Pelle dylan bag in a summery color like coconut.

3. Oh my God. Number three. I feel like this one is make or break. Um...okay. A dress. I am obsessed with summer dresses. Like this Parker Cami dress.

3 Wishes: Saltwater Dreams

If you like beauty tips with a bit of fashion thrown in, Andi over at Saltwater Dreams is your girl. I love reading her makeup tips, and I think you will too! Before you rush over there though, take a look at the three fashion items that made her wish list this summer...

Express top: This is a great piece to throw on for anything~shopping, a summer BBQ, casual dinner out. I also love that it can be paired with anything and would work equally well with shorts, jeans or a skirt.

J. Crew Dress: (When I think of Summer, I automatically think of fresh, white clothing and sundresses. This dress is a great combination of both of these 'iconic' summer styles. This crisp, white sundress is doing triple duty for me this summer for family photos, a baby shower and a white party. It's a great classic, yet versatile piece that can be styled up or down.

J.Crew at ShopStyle

Missoni Scarf: A summer staple for me is a lightweight, colorful scarf. I love the way that a scarf can transform and elevate even the most basic outfit of jeans and tank top. It's also a nice, practical piece to have~on summer nights especially when the ocean breeze can be surprisingly cool.

3 Wishes: Louise Loves It

Jenni from Louise Loves It has fabulous taste, and I love checking out her blog daily to see what she's loving at any given moment. I'm especially loving her picks below, the C&C Maxi dress is so pretty and would work well for day or night! Make sure you check out her blog after you take a look at her 3 wish list items...

1. One-shoulder maxi dress - $118 - (sign up for their email on home page and receive 25% off your order)
Fabulously versatile, I'm loving this one-shoulder maxi from C&C California -- ideal with heels or flip flops, the solid color allows you to play with accessories and make it super chic. Plus it shows off just the right amount of sexy.

2. Stackable Rings - $20/each
Show some feminine frill with these plum blossom flower rings from Kevia; wear a single ring or stack a few...they are subtle enough to wear every day, yet unique, to continually make a statement.

3. Tall wedge sandals - $80
It's time to play around with footwear this summer, given all the fantastic options out there. Not only do crazy tall shoes slim your legs, wedges are the perfect shoe to wear when experimenting with height. Loving the thick, braided straps on these Jessica Simpson platform wedges.

Coley's Closet Cravings is full of all kinds of great posts - cheap thrills, product reviews, and my personal favorite "WTF Friday" (I think the title says it all). Definitely check out Coley's blog and find out what she's currently craving, but first here's a small taste with her 3 summer wish list items!

1) Dolce Vita Niko Tubular Wedge: I love a nice high wedge - and these absolutely fit the ticket for summer. Fun, interlacing detail and the height I so desperately require - and they can be paired with anything!

3 Wishes: Fetching Fashions

Justine from Fetching Fashions is the best kind of fashionista - she isn't afraid to out new trends! If you want to get inspiration on how to wear some of the latest items (oxfords, animal print, etc), head on over to her blog! But before you go, check out the three items that made her wish list this summer.

Wish lists (and lists in general) are a favorite of mine, so I'll try and be sucinct with just three wishes-- three categories (and one example in each!) of the things I'm shopping for this summer.

1. THE SILK SHIRT.
I've been floundering on getting an Equipment silk shirt for some time now but just can't seem to pull the trigger. But if money were no object, there would be no hesitation on this Elise Overland blouse. (Hey, this is a wishlist. Keyword= wish.) Everything about it is perfection: the assymetrical snap closure; the mandarain collar; and the pattern. Ohhhh, that pattern!

2. THE EASY PANT.
For something Oprah has deemed an "easy thing to pull off," you'd be surprised at how many "easy" pants I've tried and not liked. Nevertheless, I think it's something I must have this summer-- it's breezy and light, perfect for the 100-degree-plus weather my home city sees for several months. I've finally found the perfect easy pant in these: Nordstrom TBD's Hinge silk pants. The washed black silk is not only scrumptious but very compatible with tons in my closet.

3. ALL-WEATHER LEATHER.
Up until recently (well, really, just this season!), I've always equated leather and suede with winter and fall. Probably out of practicality: it's warm and not so breatheable. But many designers have decided to incorporate leather into their spring and even summer designs, so I thought, hey. Why not! I think a great example of how to do it is this Joie leather tank... made of a lightweight suede leather, it's a great season-round option. It's beautiful in person and totally do-able, trust me!

3 Wishes: Amber's Notebook

Amber from Amber's Notebook and I have "known" each other for awhile (and I use quotes because we know each other via the interweb), and she's always great about giving me feedback or fashion advice whenever I need it. I love her style, she's always changing it up whether she's going for a boho chic look or a more edgy vibe. Definitely make sure and check out her blog for tons of great inspiration after you check out her amazing picks (I think I need that Geren Ford dress)!

Don't we all wish we had a fairy Godmother to call on when we need three wishes granted? Well J is my blog fairy godmother, she's always looking out for me, and is always there when I need any help or advice. So when she asked to me to give her my Three Wish Summer Wish list you know I made like Cinderella and made sure my list was complete before the clock struck midnight. This summer I am traveling to Europe and am going to be limited to minimal luggage space, so lately my eye has drifted to pieces I can wear over and over again, and dress up and down with accessories.

This Geren Ford fits my bill as a dress that could be worn to a fabulous cafe to grab cappuccino or dressed up for dinner on the town in the evening.

I have been a fan of Citrine by The Stones pieces since Jessica Simpson rocked them on the newlyweds and these statement earrings are no expection. They are the perfect accessory to wear when your hair is up in a ponytail or bun on hot summer nights.

Citrine by the Stones at ShopStyle

Unfortunately I am not good at doing hair, and nor do I have a fairy godmother, so hats, barrettes and headbands are my go-to hair helpers. This season I am LOVING the big Minnie Mouse style bows, places like Urban Outfitters and Free People have been featuring. This Free People one, would be one I would throw on while running my Sunday errands, no need to blow dry when I plan to hop in the pool later!

3 Wishes: Fashionably Inspired

Kara from Fashionably Inspired is such a sweetheart and is fantastic at recreating celebrity looks for a lot less. I adore all of her picks, that swimsuit is perfect for summer, and Marc Jacob's Hillier handbag has been on my wishlist for awhile. Check out her top three wishlist items for summer, and then head over to her blog to get your celebrity fashion fix.

Since this is a summer WISH list... I decided I better go big or go home!

First up. The perfect summer dress. I live in dresses all summer. When it is blazing over 100 degrees here in California, nothing feels better than light cool cotton on your skin. This dress is adorable. It has a slight boho vibe and the floral print is oh-so girly. Pair it with a sandal, I am one happy girl!

Daughters Of The Revolution at ShopStyle

Next up... I need the perfect summer bag to accompany my summer dresses! When I think summer bag, I am instantly drawn to white. I LOVE white purses and Marc Jacobs Hillier bag would sure be the perfect playmate for me this summer! It is large enough so that I can lug all my worldly possessions around with me (and my toddler's too because we can't leave home without an abundance of snacks and toys apparently).

Marc by Marc Jacobs at ShopStyle

Lastly.... an amazing swimsuit. (I said this was a wish list so on my wish list, I also wish for the perfect the perfect body for this. I don't consider this a 4th wish... it should just go hand in hand when you THINK bikini so no rules were broken here, right?) So, perfect bikini. Bright, floral, ruffles..... that just screams fruity drinks by the pool... or ocean..... or on a yacht. You decide but this is swimsuit perfection.

3 Wishes: Nicole's Guide To Style

I am a huge fan of Nicole's Guide to Style blog because she has impeccable style and I love looking at her Recent Outfits for inspiration. I'm so glad that she is participating in the 3 Wishes, and her picks are incredible! I'm drooling over the tunic right now, and don't even get me started on the Hermes clutch...

So thrilled to be a guest blogger for Jen's "The Look 4 Less"- doesn't she post the cutest things?! Summer is my favorite season- weekend getaways, laying out in the California sunshine, my birthday in July, vodka strawberry lemonades, hikes in Runyon Canyon- the list goes on and on! After lots of thought (it's hard to pick just three!) my three wishes for summer are:

1. Balenciaga Perfume- A soft and unique scent of violets, perfect to wear during the intense summer heat.

2. Hermes Jige Clutch- In the words of stylist Rachel Zoe, I'd go "bananas" for this! Definitely an item that I would use forever and the trademark Hermes orange is such a fun splash of color that would brighten up any outfit.

3. Missoni Zig Zag Caftan- Again, something that I would use for many years. I love the fact that you could wear it over a swimsuit and then out to dinner just by throwing on different accessories and shoes.

A special thanks again to Jen for featuring me today! Hope you all have a fabulous, fashionable and fun day!

XOXO, Nicole of guidetostyle.blogspot.com
